Living in Redwall Abbey a sixteen season old squirrel was walking through the orchard.
His name was Pero he was a young strong nice creature.
His father was a warrior, his father was a warrior as was his and his and his.
His timeline actually went back all the way to the second cousin of Felldoh.
He was a swordsquirrel, though he was young he was chosen to be a defender of Redwall. Not the champion… yet. Being a great warrior he had potential to be but he just wasn’t ready nor was considered old enough.
He walked through the gardens with his best friend a Hare named Awsum
Awsum picked up a tulip handing it to Pero.
‘Do you think Pashmina would like this?’
Pero shook his head.
‘Pashmina prefers daisies so she can put them behind her ear. She is so cute when she does that’
Pero was in young love. Pashmina was the prettiest squirrel in the abbey and he had a huge crush on her.
The two walked through the gardens talking and chumming it up.
‘Remember when we were dibbuns and all the mischief we got into?’
Somewhere far far far far away… in another dimension a young human named Eddie woke up.
He was sixteen too, but was a loser… not brave like Pero. He was a coward, weak, slow and a little chubby.
Both were only children, and Eddie was walking to school with his best friend Harold.
‘You really should ask Cynthia out.’ Said Harold.
‘I don’t know… why would she like me? Butch is a jock he’s like the toughest guy in school she'd choose him for sure.’
Harold picked up a daisy.
‘Give this to her, she’ll appreciate it’
‘A daisy…!? A stupid little daisy? She needs something extravagant like a… like a… Tulip!!’
The two chatted as they went to school.
Pero had an average day, as did Eddie.
Pero walked down the path and fought several attacking vermin.
(A war was going on at the time)
Yet they had a family of ferrets living in the abbey.
They were kind and had no home so the Abbey took the two parents in and eventually had twins. A male and female.
Eddie had gotten beaten up by several bullies.
But that night something weird happened…
You see Eddie and Pero are the same person in another universe.
Their lives are reflected against each-other, mirrored.
By some weird time/space fluke their universes passed each-other but something very wrong happened.
The next morning when Eddie was half asleep.
He was in a strange bed.
‘Ughhh… my head….’
A nurse was there mopping his brow.
‘It’s okay Pero. You took a whomp to the head that huge vermin punched you hard.’
‘Vermin? I admit Lance is a vermin but who’s Pero?’
‘You silly!’ She otter nurse said.
‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’
He then woke up fully and looked around.
He screamed at seeing the giant otter leaning over him.
‘What the heck are you!!!!
? Where am I!?!??’
The otter sighed… ‘You have amnesia?’
‘No. I am in some freaky dreamland!!! I will wake up soon and get out of here.’
The otter mopped his brow some more.
‘You took a large blow to the head Pero no doubt you have amnesia.’
Eddie looked at his watch but his watch was missing and his arm was red and furry. He had entered Pero’s body. Being his Redwall alternate body but he screamed louder.
Pero woke up in Eddie’s room.
‘Where am I? Some weird… place?’
There were comic books and videogames scattered all over the room.
‘What an odd place, how did I get here?’
He wasn’t sure what to think, like Eddie he assumed he was dreaming.
But he got up and was wearing a human T-shirt and shorts as well had having no fur.
He looked in fear.
‘Mom!!! Someone weird is going on!!!!’
His mother came in. ‘What Eddie?’
‘I have no fur!!!! And what are you?'
His mother sighed. ‘Lance really punched you hard didn’t he? I will just back away now and you get ready for school.’
Pero stood in shock. ‘Eddie? Punched by a lance? What in the name of Dark Forest is going on?’
He sat on the bed wondering how this predicament happened while looking in the mirror. Instead of red fur he had brown hair.
‘What kind of creature am I? Why am I here?’
‘Come’on to school Eddie I know you’re acting weird just to get out of it after being pummeled yesterday. The three bullies are being punished they won’t hurt you.’
(The three vermin that attacked Pero were slain)
‘You slept in so it's your fault you barely have time for breakfast. Here is some money you can get a sandwich from a vending machine now come! You need your learning.’
(He hardly understood one word of that)
‘I finished school a season ago and what am I?’
‘A lazy kid who sleeps in and won’t go to school. Now remember you were walking there with Harold this morning.’
Pero thought this was just a dream and to go with it.
He didn’t know what people ate in wherever he is. And when Eddie's mom told him to make his own breakfast he didn’t know how never had cooked in his life.
‘You always make your own breakfast! What is wrong with you!??’ Eddie’s mother said.
(Eddie’s father was on a business trip in Africa/Pero’s father was on a quest to Green Isle.)
‘I am in a dream, I’m not in the abbey anymore… I have no fur and I am wearing these weird clothes. What is going on!?’
‘Eddie… you need help. I’ll call the school therapist and you can talk to her when you get there I think you are still half asleep. But either way my soap operas are starting.’
Pero was soon out of the house on a neighbourhood street. He was scared… very scared… especially when regular small red squirrel ran past.
‘This is a nightmare! Wake up Pero wake up!!!’
Eddie was freaking out too… but everybeast thought he had amnesia so he had an excuse to act odd.
He in a daze sat down to breakfast eating a bowl of oatmeal.
‘Do you guys have bacon?’ he asked.
‘What is Bacon?’ replied a hedgehog.
‘Never mind… nothing makes sense anymore.’
