I was talking about Earthworm Jim.
A insane cartoon based on an insane videogame series...
(They are on the Wii virtual console incase you are curious)
A weird thing about the games you play a worm armed with a powersuit and a blaster.
You have to rescue a princess going through the most insane locations.
(Incase you forgot this started with a New show I discovered I said nothing about yet, I will get to that)
You start off by launching a cow in the air (Does nothing)
You have to go through junkyards, the planet "heck" (being a kid friendly game) where the background music is elevator music and you have to fight lawyers.
A lab where the boss is named 'Professor monkey for a head" who is what his name implies.
I never actually got far past the underwater level so I can't say... but once you beat the boss of the game and rescue the princess the cow falls on her and Jim takes the crown walking away whistling...
Yet in the cartoon it's a running gag that at the end of every episode when Jim saves the day a cow always falls from nowhere in a humourous fashion usually related to a conversation or plot.
But anyway this new cartoon I discovered is called "Spliced!"
It is insane... demented... idiotic... and I get a pleasure from watching it.
The show is about a mad scientist at one point living on his evil island messing with the laws of nature mixing the genes of different animals together to make one.
It revolves around experiments Peri and Entree who after the Scientist was arrested and the experiments were just left there....
Having their own adventures with their friends.
But honestly Peri is either insane or just stupid... (But friendly and cute) and Entree is pretty much Patrick from Spongebob if he was a complete jerk.
No-one knows what Peri is... not even the guys who made the show. The trailer said. 'Part... uh...? Tiger? Oranges? Anvil? Bowling pin? Heck even we have no idea!'
There's a bunch of weird characters that are crossed from different animals as well as a platypus.
(Possibly considered the biggest freak there)
It makes no sense... the wacky PSA spoofs make no sense.
"Cool kids don't stuff antelopes up their noses"
It is pure insanity!!
And is on in fifteen minutes. Bye!
I have weird tastes but it is funny and has this atmosphere I can't explain it just compels me to watch.
