Yozora glanced up as he neared redwall, taking in the sight of the walls and the grand building he could see the tops of barely. snuggling into his cloak slightly to hide his discomfort and to hide his features even more. He knew his speacies as a whole was not liked for foxes have the habit of being conniving wicked creatures, however, that wasn't the case all the time, case and point the nomad walking toward the abbey right now.
Upon arriving at the main gate, the fox took a moment to look up and admired the walls and gates it was clear that the walls and door had withstood countless assaults through it's time.
Hoping that they wouldn't deny him access Yozora reached out and thuded his fist against gate in a knock loud enough to catch the attention of those inside before stepping back and drawing his cloak around him to be safe.

OOC: Kay, I'm going to go ahead and bring Abbess Nutmeg in for this one... Maybe someone else too, I don't know. Abbess Nutmeg was lying in the sun on top of the battlements, enjoying the feel of the breeze on her fur as she slightly dozed. Suddenly, she heard the unmistakable sound of someone knocking on the gate. Blinking open weary eyes, she yawned and quickly looked over the battlement to see a cloaked creature. She bounded down the stairs and slowly pulled the door open. In front of her stood a fox. Nutmeg's eyes widened, before she quickly let out a breath. Smiling, she opened her mouth to speak. "Hello there, how may I help you on this fine day?" She questioned. *~*~* In the bushed near the gate, a small form watched the pair with fascination. Brown eyes peered out of the bush to see what would happen. As she waited, her paws shifted, creating some crackling sounds, and some movement in the bush.

Yozora smiled softly at the squirrel in front of him. "Greetings, I'm Yozora, and i'm sort of in need of rations, I got pointed here by a raven that gave me shelter earlier." he responded. The Fox looked around the entrance. "May i enter?" he asked calmly, even as his ears twitched at the the movement and creaking coming from one of the bushes. The nomad fought back his instincts to draw a sword. This was a place of peace, he couldn't draw his swords with out a good reason, and hearing noises wasn't a good enough reason.

Abbess Nutmeg's smile dropped as she heard the bush moving, but she shook her head and replaced the smile on her face as she listened to the fox. "Of course you may stay here! Redwall's Gates are always open to creatures who come in peace," She smiled wider, before tilting her head in thought. "A raven you say? How curious..." Abbess Nutmeg said, before stepping back from the gate and opening the door wider. "You are welcome to stock up on food and stay as long as you like. As I said before, we always welcome travelers," Nutmeg smiled before suddenly frowning. "Though I'm afraid if you have any weapons on you, you'll have to leave them at the gatehouse. Percautionary measures, I assure you," She said apologetically. *~*~* Nex listened to the squirrel as she explained that anyone was welcome, and her eyes lit up in happiness. Taking a step back and straightening out her jacket, she took a deep breath before slowly peering out of the woods at the two creatures. It's now or never, Nex. Better do it now. She thought to herself, quickly stepping out of the woods and jumping the ditch. Slowing herself down, she walked towards the squirrel and fox, trying not to be threatening. "Hello there!" She called out shyly, waving as she neared the creatures. Gulping, she noticed the size difference between them and herself. She was about a head shorter than both of them, almost appearing as a child compared to them.

Yozora nodded as he moved his claok to his back revealing his armored form and his twin swords. "I can understand that." he reached under one of the swords and fiddled with a clasp that he had deliberately hidden there and released both his swords catching them before they fell and shouldering them. "Does that weapon rule include ones armor?" he asked politely though he prayed it wasn't the case even as he clasped his swords shut so they couldn't be drawn accidentally.
He paused to look at the polecat and noticed he was actually eye level with her. HE grumbled in his head cursing the fact that he was naturally short. turning his attention to her he smiled softly trying to ease the cat's nerves. "Why hello there. and who might you be?" he asked politely.

Abbess Nutmeg smiled at the fox before shaking her head.
"I see no reason why you should not be able to keep your armor," She said, giving him a reassuring smile, as the polecat ran up.
Nutmeg turned to look at her and did a double take. The Polecat was about a head shorter than Nutmeg, and she wasn't even that tall.
Nex eyed the fox warily before giving a timid smile. She liked the fact that she could look this creature in the eye and talk to him. Most of the time she found herself looking up to the creatures around her.
"I'm Nex. Nex Erro. And who are you?" She asked politely, warming up to this fox already.

Yozora nodded as he breathed a sigh of relief "thank you for that assurance, and i give my word as a nomad that i have no other weapons on me." He paused at the polecats words and introduction. "nice to meet you Nex, I'm yozora the nomad." said fox turned back to the squirrel spun his sheathed swords so they lay flat in his paws and held them out to the abbes. "Thank you for letting me stay here, despite my being a fox."

Nutmeg smiled warmly at the Polecat before speaking.
"I am Abbess Nutmeg, but you can call me Nutmeg," She said, smiling.
Seeing the outstretched weapons, Nutmeg reach forward and grabbed them, holding them carefully. She shook her head at Yozora, before smiling even wider.
"It does not matter whether you are a fox or not... In fact, we have a few..." Nutmeg paused, trying to come up with a word before sighing. "We have a few vermin living here now, I suppose one would say... My apologies."
Nex nodded her head in greeting to the fox, before turning to face Abbess Nutmeg.
"Ummm... I was wondering if I could enter also? I only have my dagger," Nex said, pulling the small hidden dagger out of her belt and holding it out to Nutmeg, who smiled and carefully placed it on top of the swords.
"Redwall welcomes all creatures. Please, come in," Nutmeg said, walking through the gates.

Yozora nodded in understanding, "I see, well it's good to know that i'm not unique here. thank you Abbess." the fox paused long enough to let Nex hand over her dagger, and bite down the urge to strike out at the weapon and disarm the polecat. She was just trying to gain access just like he was. With that done Yozora Followed the Abbess into the abbey casting his gaze around taking in all he could see. With that done the fox started to actualy take in his surroundings for what they where, peaceful, calming, full of life and plenty of food to sustain it in any time, be it peace or war. The nomad could appreciate that.
Still it felt weird to yozora to be with out his swords, they haven't left his sides in years, he tried to hide his discomfort by covering his armored form in his cloak once again, and took comfort in the fact that while small, and currently unarmed, he could still fight anything that lived here if needed.

Nutmeg watched as the fox and the polecat entered the abbey, the amazement clear on the polecat's face as she gaped at everything in sight like a dibbun. Shaking her head in amusement, she quickly shut the door behind them, latching it back in place. She headed to the gatehouse, entering quickly and stashing the objects in the chest in the back. She took another look at the dagger and studied it closer.
It was silver, bright and shining, almost brand new. There were a few scratches on it, but other than that, it looked like it was just made. On the hilt, leather bands were tightly tied to it, creating a unique handle. Nutmeg sighed and quickly placed it on top of the swords, shutting and locking the chest for safe-keeping. She straightened her cloak and took a deep breath before leaving the gatehouse, walking out into the sunlight once again.
"Would you two like a small tour, or can you find your own way around?" Nutmeg asked, watching the tewo creatures as they took in the sights.
Nex eyed everything very carefully. She smiled as little ones ran past her, and she took in the scene, trying to memorize it.
This'll be a nice place to live... If I ever settle down and stop wandering, that is.
She sighed, and thought about her family once again, wondering how her mother and sisters were, and whether they knew or thought she was still alive. She snapped out of her reverie in time to dodge a young dibbun as it came barreling towards her. She jumped back, and somehow managed to land flat on her back.
