Truth... I'm so sad.... As I read that, I swear a tiny piece of me, (that resembled a certain ferret ) flew off into oblivion. We'll never know so many things... What happenned to Blaggut? Mas Matthias really Martin's relative? Was Veil Evil (NO) ? X'( Edit:I now have the strangest urge to re-read EVERY SINGLE REDWALL BOOK! I shall read all of them in a month! I actually don't think I ever REALLY read them all....

I really feel like this is a huge part of my childhood that just died... I can remember vividly picking up that first book I read, Marlfox, and enjoying every page. I've been reading and re-reading a lot of the books lately, and this makes me want to go splurge some money on finishing off the collection... And no, Veil was not evil! Those were my favorite books... Taggerung and The Outcast of Redwall

The Redwall series was always a large part of my childhood, and will always be, I think.
Very, very saddened to hear of Mr. Jacques's passing... he will be mourned by more than his friends and family, that's for sure.

I was in shock but tried to stay as strong as I could. I kind of matured yesterday, grew up a bit. He is the sole reason we are all friends. The reason we are enjoying each-other's company like we are. It's tragic what happened and it seems like part of me died. (The part in which I wasn't taking life seriously enough)
I want to re-read every book again too. Even outcast which I could never get into. I built a Redwall Model a year ago, I now want to send it to an art contest in memory of him.
His death I think will inspire more people to read his books making them more popular. It might rush the inspiration for a movie though if they ever make a videogame of Redwall I will be annoyed. I love videogames very very much but that would be an insult to his memory. (Since he didn't like videogames)
It's sad, I'll miss him. I always will. I like to think he is now in the world he created living among Martin and Matthias and Mariel having feasts and such.

Brian Jacques was an inspiration to all of his redwall fans. Although I am disheartened at the loss of one of the greatest writers in the history of the world. I am happy for him because he deserves a long, well-rested sleep. Good-bye Mr. Jacques. I hope one day we will finally meet in the green valleys and lush meadows. :')

My DeviantArt account is pretty stagnant, I don't update very often. But I thought I'd share a bit of my reflections on Mr. Jacques by linking this journal entry of mine, if any are interested in reading it. cbcore.deviantart.com/journal/38355760/
