Sorry... I've never read her work. But I had read a book called "Myst: The book of Atrus" That was interesting but it's three books in one and I never read the other two "Books" It's based off of the Myst PC game series.
I once tried reading "Silverwing" but it got too weird after a while.

Redwall *trying to think of a popular book series* I've read the lion witch and the wardrobe and the magicians nephew. Those were the only two in that series. I've read many books over the years. Alice in wonderland, Diary of a wimpy kid, Harry potter, I want to finish "The Sword in the stone" The wizard of OZ (The novels were awesome fantasy... they really babied it down in the movie. From epic to just... lame) And there are 15+ books in the series. The wizard of oz was written mainly because most fantasy before it was Dark "Grimms fairy tales" so I think L. Frank Baum as a pioneer in children's fantasy.

D8 I didn't know the Wizard of Oz was a set of fantasy novels! Geh! I mean, I knew the movie was based off a book, but... shoot! I've got to get my hands on those!
Redwall = love ;]

The thing about Redwall... if it was written with humans instead of animals. It would be boring.......
Animals make everything more interesting. (One reason why I dedicated so much of my life to animals. I respect them so much and they're just cool)

This is true. The animals were what got my attention when I first started reading the series; it seems like a story can be told in a different, more thorough kind of way when done through the eyes of animals.
Hey, actually! There is another series of books about animals, childrens' books, I think, that I never read but really want to. I read the back of one of them in a book store once, and from what I gather, the main character was a red squirrel (on a quest? For a sword?) and something about a kingdom... I can't remember what it was called, something with Ursela? And I can't find it in the store anymore! Have you heard of anything like that?

I know what you're talking about but I can't remember the title. But an animal novel where they have swords in a fantasy setting is too close to Redwall in my opinion. It seems like everyone is jumping on the Redwall bandwagon. Except for Tale of Despereux which I think was written before.

Nah, I think it's just a common fantasy setting, especially where British authors are concerned. I think even the Warriors series -- Erin Hunter -- is from England. And you know how great minds think alike x)
