*This is the REAL one. ignore the other ones on the feild outside the abbey.*
Nevoso had finished his journey. All the way from the south beaches near the fabled Mountain of Badgers. He had heard stories of feinds attempting to take this place. Cluny the Scrouge, and even a clan of crows. All had failed. He bathed in the simple glory that was Redwall Abby. It was larger then he expected, though of course no evil vermin had entered its walls so of course none knew how big it was on the inside. There was no streams, so he should be fine. He walked confidently across the grounds, when he reached the wall. He followed it along to the path, where he knocked on the door as hard as his small arms would allow. Then he waited, light reflecting off his blindingly white coat.

Rosalie was sitting in the gatehouse, looking through the old records. Unlike everyone else, she had decided not to join the mad mob chasing Drak. Suddenly, a knock sounded at the gate, jerking her out of the book she was reading. She walked up to the walltop and looked down at the creature at the door. All she saw was white. She squinted closer, and saw that it was a fox! She grabbed a big book, and opened the gate slowly.
"What do you want here, fox?" She asked, holding her book up.

Brother Tate had been helping out in the kitchens, lifting heavy pots and holding oven doors open. When a passing dibbun happened to mention Sister Rosalie out in the gatehouse, the hulking hedgehog decided to bring her an early tea; he always enjoyed a good chat with the hamster. There was something about the fluffy sister that made him grin to himself.
Arranging a small sunflower in a vase alongside piping hot sunflower scones and raspberry preserve, the former of which Tate knew to be one of Rosalie's favorites, the muscled hog strode out across the lawns, whistling a cheerful little tune to himself. He was quite surprised to see the little Sister peering around the gatehouse door with a large book in paw.
Curious, he balanced the tray on one paw and cupped the other around his snout, hailing her.
"Ahoy there, Sister Rosalie! I've brought some tea for you, thought you'd be getting a little hungry among all those dusty old books..." he trailed off as he came closer, realizing she was speaking to somebeast. A visitor to the abbey? Tate raised his eyebrows. Well, it was a good thing he'd brought a lot of tea with him. He came alongside Rosalie, unable to see who she was addressing, smiling genially.
"Visitors, Sister?" he asked. "Do you usually greet guests with large books in paw, or is this a new practice of yourn?"

Rosalie smiled.
"No, there's a fox asking to be allowed in, so I just wanted something in case..." She said, smiling and pointiing at the albino fox outside the gates.

Tate almost dropped the tray; his blood ran cold.
A fox?! Here? he thought. He stepped forward quickly and plucked Rosalie out of the way, placing the tray in her paws.
"Stay out of the way, Sister, there could be danger," he growled, and threw the door open. He glared down past the green of his habit at the white fox outside, spines bristling, arms crossed.
"Who are you," he rumbled, "and what do you want here?"

Rosalie huffed as she was plucked away.
"Hello?! I can handle this! I'm the wife of the Abbey Champion!" She said, shoving her way through the door.
"Sorry about him, he's kinda biased..."

Tate, rather nonplussed, allowed himself to be moved aside and looked back at Rosalie. He found himself fighting a smile, rather; being the wife of a warrior didn't entitle her to any kind of defense mechanisms unless the actual warrior was present. He decided not to point this out in present circumstances, and made due with keeping an eye on the situation. One lone fox -- though Tate utterly despised the thought -- shouldn't be much trouble.

Nevoso jumped back in fright. So much comotion all in his name. Normally he would either have been captured by now, kicked out, or welcomed in. He piped up shily, "Umm...Sir, mam', is this Redwall Abbey? I have been searching for it. I would like to have a peacful existance. If it would calm you guys down I shall gldly drop my weapons." He took of his quiver of arrows dropping them on the ground, and snapped off his belt of throwing knives. He opened up his green cloak to show he had no hidden weapons. He asked timidly, "Umm...May I come in now?"

This situation was just getting stranger and stranger. The large Brother watched the fox disarm himself, even more nonplussed than he'd been with Rosalie, and listened silently. After a moment he stooped and gathered the weapons to make doubly sure the fox couldn't try anything.
"Yes, this is the abbey of Redwall," he rumbled, eyes never leaving the fox; he tossed the weapons to the ground inside the door so that he could step outside, towering over the new visitor.
"Put your paws on your head," he said, "so I can make sure you 'aven't got anything else hidden on you."

Nevoso abliged willingly. He raised his hands putting them on his head with a smile, saying, "I have told you already. I mean no harm. I am not like the rest of my vile brotheren. I do not talk in their slang, and do not kill. I was shunned for my albino fur so I have come here looking for hospitality." Nevoso had expected this, but he was used to being searched by now.
