Name: Belgarion Thungroud
Nickname: Garion
Species: Mouse
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Occupation: Abbey champion
Physical Appearance: Garion is a tall muscular mouse with broad shoulders (it comes from all the training he does) His fur is light brown with a white band around his left wrist kinda like a bracelet. His face is a little angular but his smile makes up for that! His eyes are set a little higher from his cheekbones than normal but they’re still a piercing green and they have a mischievous twinkle in them. He smiles a crooked smile when there isn’t an emergency to deal with. His nose always seems to twitch when he gets excited, as his friend can tell you. He wears a green tunic and brown hose and on his head is a hat (Like robin hoods’ tongue.gif) with a feather in it that’s always tilted at a rakish angle. Around his waist is a leather belt.
Possessions: Garion carries a sling slung across one should that crosses his chest and back. And boy can he use it! In his belt he carries a sword that his father passed down to him when he became Abbey Champion. His father also taught him how to use it, along with the bow he carries when he isn’t in the Abby grounds. His quiver hangs from his belt when he is using his bow. The bow has a diamond pattern stenciled in ink going the whole length.
Personality: He loves a good joke, and likes poking fun at friends biggrin.gif. He likes being around other beasts and enjoys listening to older creature’s conversation. He is hard to get riled up but when he is you don’t want to be the one that got him that way! He likes sports and is good at most of the games that the abbey beasts play. He has an irritating habit of pointing out the obvious however, and it can get on a beasts nerves!
Relationships: His father Darion, was the Champion before Garion came of age, then he got the job. His mother Algara, works in the kitchen of Redwall. His sister Porren, (Thain will recognize some of these names tongue.gif) is three seasons (years) younger than him, but they are still very close.
Strengths: Sling, and sword fighting are his main strengths. But he is fairly good with his bow. He can make other beasts laugh, even in the face of danger.
Weaknesses: He makes light of serious situations and that can get him in trouble. Sometimes he isn’t very thoughtful of others. Couldn’t swim to save his life and doesn’t like heights.
Background: Belgarion grew up in the Abbey. From the time he was a dibbun he loved his fathers sword, even though he couldn’t lift it till he was 7. His life has been pretty quiet so far, (comes from living in the Abbey I think tongue.gif). At the age of 17 his father gave him his sword and passed on the role as abbey protector. You might be thinking that 17 is a bit young to be giving such responsibility to, but his father wasn’t to worried seing as there hadn’t been an attack on Redwall in a long long while. But who knows? Maybe there are vermin just around the corner…
His first minor adventure happened when he was about 4; after he got put to bed, he decided he was hungry, and you can guess where he went… After much exploring in the pantry he found the honey barrel, annnd promptly fell in! It was about a half hour after, when the friar came in to stoke the oven fires before beginning his early morning baking, that he found little Garion happily sitting on floor covered in honey. He smiled cheerfully up at the outraged friar and held out a paw dripping with sweet gooey honey, “Yooo lik some?”
It took a VERY long bath and much vigorous scrubbing from his mother to get all the mess of the young dibbun. When that was complete he got a sound scolding and no breakfast.
That was just one of his small adventures as he was growing up, but I don’t have time to tell you more right now.
